OUTPATIENT CONSULTATIONS

Initial Consultation Fee $240.00
Follow up Consultation Fee $140.00
Medicare rebate available, and processed on day of consultation. We do offer a pensioner discount. Card must be valid at time of consultation.

GP or Specialist referral is required at each appointment.

Veteran Affairs patients also accepted with valid referral.

Approximately 15 minutes before your appointment, you will usually have an ECG performed for Dr Watson at the Greenslopes Heart Centre, this is Bulk Billed. They are located Suite 12, Greenslopes Specialist Centre.

For appointments at Redlands, you will have this performed at the Redland Heart Centre, 119 Queen Street, just prior to your appointment.
INPATIENT CARE
Greenslopes Private Hospital
Dr Watson is a no-gap doctor, so your health fund will cover all the costs for your admission under Dr Watson for Cardiac at Greenslopes Private Hospital.
You may want to confirm with your fund about any excess you have and your cardiac coverage under your current level of insurance.

Other costs may come from the hospital, imaging, pathology, other consultants etc. You will be informed by Greenslopes Private of any out of pocket costs.
CARDIAC INTERVENTION AT GREENSLOPES PRIVATE HOSPITAL
Coronary Angiograms & Stenting
If you are referred for a Coronary Angiogram, Dr Watson will invoice directly to your Health Insurance, and Medicare. As Dr Watson is a no-gap Doctor, there will be no out of pocket costs to you from Dr Watson.
You should however check with your insurance you are covered for Cardiac Cover.

There may be additional out of pocket costs from the Hospital which you will be informed of prior to your procedure.
​
If you do not hold Private Hospital Insurance, you will be referred to one of the local Public Hospitals for your procedure.

Dr Watson uses software that has access to My Health Record.
To utilise this, please have your My Health Record active, and advise the practice you would like your records uploaded.​
